The Block Party

We are looking for volunteers to help us organize our 2024 event.
This event is a great way to get involved with your Block Association. And for vendors, it is the perfect e-cycling way to turn unwanted items into quick cash -- and have fun in the process! It helps the Block Association raise funds for the various activities we provide our Upper West Side community. Making money, and raising money -- two great things to do while meeting neighbors and spending a day outdoors in our beautiful neighborhood!

When & Where:
The annual event is usually held on a Saturday in May from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. outdoors on West 103rd Street between West End Avenue and Riverside Drive.
Space rental size and cost:
Each space measures 10 feet wide by 8 feet deep.
Fees (subject to change) are:
NOTE: vendor spaces are for private, residential customer’s use only. We will not rent space to “professional” vendors or to those selling prepared food intended for consumption at the event.
There are approximately 66 spaces available – which will most likely rent out completely before the event. We do not rent half-spaces but you may share your space with others as you choose. We don’t provide tables – you must provide your own display furniture. You may set up your wares in the street within 8 feet of the curb. The center of the street must remain clear and passable. Vendors may also use a small portion of the adjacent sidewalk space but you must not obstruct the sidewalk for pedestrians.

- $40 for residents of the Block Association (limit one at this fee; additional spaces: $55/each.
- $55 for all other vendors.

- One signed copy of the vendor agreement which you may download below or at this link.
- Check or money order payable to the 102–103 Streets Block Association. If your check or money order is payable to a payee other than the block association (to an individual, for instance), it will be returned. Contact the Vendor Coordinator if you have any questions.
- Note your location preference: ex. near West End Ave., middle of the block, or near Riverside Dr.; prior-year vendors have priority in location assignments. We will assign each vendor a space as the agreement is received. We will make every effort to fill your specific requests, but space is limited and we cannot guarantee you will receive the exact space requested. Your location will be emailed or phoned to you the week of the Block Party. Please do not call asking for your space assignment.
- If you have not provided an email address in the vendor agreement, include a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE). Once your check has cleared, we will let you know by email or by SASE that your space is reserved. An email contact is preferable.
FOR SPACE REQUESTS AFTER MAY 11: During the week before the Block Party, only cash, certified check or money order payments will be accepted. NO REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY OF THE SALE. All forms and payments must be delivered to the vendor coordinator's address as indicated below. Requests for space will be processed in the order they arrive and pending availability of space.
Completed agreement and check/money order may be submitted anytime after the announcement of the official date for this year's Block Party.
